Looking After Your Floor

Caring for HARO TRITTY Laminate Floors – it's as simple as this

Dry Cleaning

It is usually sufficient to clean HARO TRITTY floors dry using a dust mop, soft broom or vacuum cleaner. Damp cleaning can always be made as required. For best results we recommend the special parquet vacuum cleaner Parquet & Co. 5000 from Miele.

Damp Cleaning

And this is how it’s done:
Add about 200 ml (7 fl.oz.) of HARO Laminate Floor Cleaner to 8–10 litres (2-2.5 gal) of water. Wipe the surface damp with a well wrung-out cloth. Do not clean the floor surface too damp. Always avoid letting water stand on the surface.

If you would like to bring up the shine on your floor, you can buff the surface with a dry HARO Polishing Cloth.

For regular damp cleaning, we recommend the ”Ultramax” floor cleaner set from Vileda.

Stain Removal

You can remove difficult spots and stains (tar stains, colour crayon, etc.) very easily by spot-treating them with HARO Stain Remover. Wipe the spot or stain first using a dry HARO Polishing Cloth. Spray HARO Stain Remover on the area to be treated and leave for a few minutes. Clean and buff dry with a HARO Polishing Cloth. That's it.

Intensive Care

To guarantee long-life durability, we recommend treating your floor with HARO Secura-A once a year.

Antistatic Cleaner

During the heating period in winter, electrostatic charging is a common phenomenon indoors, which occurs when air humidity levels are too low (<50% relative air humidity). We all know the unpleasant feeling of this charge being released, for example when touching a metal object, e.g. a door knob. You can get rid of this effect by regularly using HARO Antistatic Cleaner and ensuring an appropriate air humidity level in the room. HARO Antistatic Cleaner increases the antistatic properties of laminate floors and thus prevents electrostatic charging. HARO Antistatic Cleaner is a solvent-free cleaner without film-building substances for the regular damp cleaning of laminate flooring.

Useful Tips

Indoor climate conditions
In order to maintain the quality and beauty of your HARO floor, but also for your own personal well being, an indoor climate of approx. 50%-60% relative air humidity is ideal with a room temperature of 20°C. To keep the air humidity constant, especially during the heating period, we recommend that you use an electric air humidifier (1). This will prevent any extreme drying out of the floor.

Additional preventive protection
In maintaining the appearance of your floor it is always beneficial to use protective felt pads (2) (available at HARO Shop) under chairs and table legs and doormats in entrances. For additional protection, we recommend placing protective polycarbonate mats (3) from HARO Shop under armchairs and office chairs.
